We are delighted to announce our eight candidates for the elections to Hertfordshire County Council, with Polling Day on Thursday 1st May 2025.
We have had a wave of positive results for the Labour Party as we begin our process of change, but the County Council remains firmly in Conservative hands – and that has real consequences for our communities. From the state of our roads to the quality of our schools, only Labour can truly stand up to an out-of-touch Conservative administration.
Our eight candidates are:
Haldens: Leo Gilbert
Handside & Peartree: Darren Lewis
Hatfield East: Vaishali Shah
Hatfield North: Beth Kelly
Hatfield Rural: Graham Beevers
Hatfield South: Kamal Hussain
Welwyn: Andrew Osborne
Welwyn Garden City South: Anthony Toole
You may click on their names for more information and links for how to get in contact.
If you are unsure as to which ward you are in at County-level, please see the Hertfordshire County Council website.
