Vaishali Shah
Your candidate for Hatfield East

Vaishali Shah will be your Labour candidate for Hatfield East in the County Council elections on the 1st May, 2025.
Vaishali has lived in Hatfield for 18 years and has a young family, so she understands both the strengths of our community and the challenges we face. She is committed to making Hatfield the thriving and inclusive place it should be and determined to fight to ensure that our town and its people are prioritised.
Working in finance within the education sector, Vaishali has a unique insight into the need for proper funding for education combined with careful management. Beyond work, Vaishali volunteers for the local Food Bank and has dedicated much time and energy to campaigning and seeking donations.
Vaishali says: “I listen to local residents and many of you have told me you struggle with congestion, unreliable public transport, and poor road conditions. If elected, I will work to improve bus services, push for better road maintenance, and be a champion for our community. After years of a Conservative County Council, we have a historic chance to secure a new direction for Hertfordshire.”
