Leo Gilbert
Your candidate for Haldens & current Borough Cllr for Sherrards

Elected in May 2024 as Labour borough councillor for Sherrards Ward, Leo has a proven track record for speaking up for residents. He successfully argued in support of the campaign for new windows and doors at Templewood School, has helped residents secure suitable housing, and ensured a local recycling centre is properly maintained.
Leo is now standing to be your Labour County Councillor on May 1st, 2025.
If elected, Leo’s aim would be to ensure that social care and special educational provision meets the needs of our residents, putting right the disastrous decisions made by the Conservatives. His background as a headteacher gives him unique insight into the way school admissions, special education and children’s centres should be run. He is also passionate about supporting library services, so that everyone can benefit from the opportunities that reading brings.
He is determined to preserve our environment, for now and for the future and intends to protect our green spaces, keep our streets clean and make sure potholes are repaired swiftly.
