Sarah is standing to be your borough councillor in the Peartree by-election on 1st May.

She has lived in Welwyn Garden City for the last 21 years with her family. She works in the local NHS and has been involved in many community roles as a volunteer – working as a primary school governor, applying for Lottery funding to build a children’s play area, hosting heart surgery patients from overseas as part of the Chain of Hope charity and running local voluntary toddler playgroups. More recently, she was part of Welwyn Hatfield community’s support for Ukrainian families and welcomed a Ukrainian into her home 3 years ago. Sarah would love the chance to support Peartree residents as one of your local councillors. She says, “I care about improving the quality of lives for local residents and would work hard to support you.”
